As climate change increases the frequency and intensity of compound climate events (CCEs), understanding their societal impacts becomes crucial for effective adaptation and policy-making. This scoping review identifies 28 studies that highlight significant societal consequences of CCEs across agriculture, public health, infrastructure, and land use, and reveals critical research gaps that need to be addressed to inform future strategies.
